INERTIAL NAVIGATION SYSTEM
PHINS, or PHotonic Inertial Navigation System (INS) and Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) based on Fiber Optic Technology, outputs position, attitude, velocity data to very high levels of accuracy. IMO-certified, this strapdown inertial navigation system incorporating a sophisticated Kalman filter is ideal onboard equipment for all types of surface naval vessels such as fast patrol boats and frigates, in addition to control of underwater applications such as Autonomous Unmanned Vehicles (AUVs).
